Tactic #1 – Put everyone on a “promotional plan” rather than a “Regular Plan”

Make sure to increase the price of regular plans consistantly … what can the customer do? especially if they are locked in.

If the customer is on a promotional plan, and it expires, use this opportunity to sell the same plan with minor ‘upgrades’ for even more in fees. These plans after expiring setup as recurring payments at an arbitrary cost above what your ‘promotional plan’ was set up for, guaranteeing that you will have to go to a more expensive regular plan or ‘upgrade’ again to another ‘promotional plan’.
