This real estate agent Faisal Fiaz in Toronto has been sued previously by the Real Estate Council of Ontario. Who resides in North York or Mississauga.
He operates a slew of Airbnb properties under his mother’s name. He recently decided to scam us by doing the following:
- Sent us a letter that he will break a 2-year lease after 6 months
- At that point, he had also broken our washer/dryer/door
- Put a stop payment on his cheques
- Decided to STAY in the unit past 45 days
- When his keys were disabled but the door was left unlocked, he decided to use that as a means to stay for another 3 months stating we violated his rights
- However, he wasn’t living there, it was being used as a business
- He files a letter with LTB stating he only wants to pay until his keys were disabled.
- In the meantime he hasn’t moved his furniture out, making us lose money
- What we are suing him for:
- Heat/Hydro
- Breaking of Washing Machine/Dryer
- Nonpayment of rent until Nov (as of now from August)
- Breaking the lease
- Filing fees + postage
- Lawyer fees
- Interest
- Slander — leaving negative and fake reviews for family business’
- All in all this agent, because of his refusal to move his stuff out. Refusal to pay rent, and refusal to move stuff out will lead to a large lawsuit.
- He went on to leave fake reviews under our name for himself, which were taken off when we threatened the site that he was posting these on to verify the Ids.
His team over at Century 21 Green Realty isn’t any better. Anyone else have a similar experience with bad tenants? Learn more about him here.
